WE BUILT LEVLR BECAUSE THE SYSTEM WAS BROKEN

Not broken in a complicated way. Broken in the most obvious way. Employers spending money to find people they had already found. Candidates disappearing into silence after applying. And an industry wondering why it could not hold onto its workforce.

We had both spent enough time in and around recruitment to know the problem was not effort. Everyone was working hard. No business should go understaffed when the people who could do the job are already out there, overlooked. That gap was the problem. Nothing existed to close it.

So we built it.

the founders

Mike Appleby

Mike spent nearly two decades watching recruitment fail the same people in the same ways. He has worked inside global brands, run his own agency, and built education programmes that helped over 1,000 people into employment through DfE-funded skills bootcamps. Levlr is the next chapter of the same belief. That people deserve better than silence.

Neil Pattison

Neil has been in digital recruitment for over 20 years. He was one of the first people through the door at Caterer.com and helped build it into the country's leading hospitality jobs platform. He has watched the same problems compound for two decades. Levlr is his answer to all of it.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Hospitality, retail and care are not broken industries. They are industries where good people and good employers have never had a proper way to find each other.

The jobs are there. The people are there. The educators are there. What's never existed is one connected system that keeps them linked over time, instead of resetting to zero every time a role opens.

Every candidate who applies and hears nothing back is a missed opportunity for an employer, a bad experience for a person, and a small contribution to an industry that struggles to attract the next generation.

Levlr exists to close that gap.
